Toran P. Dhanasar, MBA

Toran P. Dhanasar, MBA, is a distinguished healthcare executive, strategic business leader, and modern leader in executive recruitment with more than two decades of experience spanning healthcare leadership, executive search, global talent acquisition, business development, organizational growth, and operations. Born in North Tarrytown, New York, Toran has always maintained a deep passion for helping people, developing others, and creating opportunities that positively impact individuals and organizations.

Throughout his career, he has partnered with CEOs, C-suite executives, and Boards of Directors to build high-performing organizations, lead global hiring initiatives, develop leadership pipelines, and execute strategies that drive measurable growth. His career includes extensive national healthcare business experience and international business operations, including leadership of international recruitment operations across Colombia, the Philippines, and Brazil, with business operations and professional engagements spanning Bogotá and Medellín, Colombia; Cebu and Manila, Philippines; and São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Toran earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources Management from the University of Illinois Springfield, within the prestigious University of Illinois system, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision & Management and associate degrees in Pre-Law and Criminal Justice. His multidisciplinary background also includes advanced study and certifications in criminalistics, forensic investigation, forensic photography, and polygraph analysis. He completed a globally renowned management trainee program, where he ranked #1 among more than 42 participants and earned multiple national “Best of the Best” distinctions.

His leadership foundation began in Clearwater, Florida, through the U.S. Marine Corps JROTC Leadership Education Program, where he spent several years on the Silent Drill Team and competed at the state and national levels. These formative experiences established discipline, accountability, teamwork, and leadership principles that continue to define his executive approach.

Dr. Daphne Dorce, MD

Quadruple Board-Certified Psychiatrist & Medical Director

Dr. Daphne Dorce is a distinguished quadruple board-certified psychiatrist and Medical Director with more than two decades of experience providing comprehensive psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults. She is board-certified in Addiction Medicine, General Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and Forensic Psychiatry, reflecting an exceptional breadth of expertise across complex psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.

Dr. Dorce earned her B.A. from Cornell University and her M.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and holds an Executive MBA in Health Sector Management from the University of Miami School of Business. She completed her General Psychiatry residency through the prestigious Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program, followed by fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine Child Study Center. She also completed specialized forensic psychiatry training through the Columbia University/Cornell University Psychiatry and Law Program at the New York State Psychiatric Institute.

Throughout her career, Dr. Dorce has held numerous clinical and leadership positions, including Medical Director roles across inpatient, outpatient, residential, detoxification, and behavioral health treatment settings. Her clinical expertise includes adolescent mental health, mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, behavioral disorders, trauma, substance use disorders, and complex psychiatric presentations.

Dr. Dorce has also contributed to the academic field through scholarly publications and national presentations addressing adolescent mental health, juvenile justice, adolescent brain development, and psychiatric care for vulnerable youth populations.

Dr. Regina M. Carney, MD

Dual Board-Certified Psychiatrist & Head of Interventional & Neuromodulation Services

Dr. Regina Maria Carney is a highly skilled, dual board-certified psychiatrist with over a decade of experience in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other major and sub-threshold mental health disorders. As part of NeuroHealth Treatment Centers, Dr. Carney provides expert, compassionate care tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. Her approach focuses not just on alleviating symptoms but on restoring overall well-being—mind, body, and spirit.

Dr. Carney’s impressive educational background sets her apart in the field of psychiatry. She began her academic journey at Duke University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with minors in Biochemistry and Spanish. At Duke, she developed a strong foundation in science and research, laying groundwork for her future in medicine.

She went on to earn her medical degree from Stony Brook University in New York, where she was recognized for her excellence in research and clinical skills and authored her first first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

Following medical school, Dr. Carney completed a rigorous residency in General Psychiatry at the prestigious Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Vanderbilt is renowned for its emphasis on both clinical care and advanced psychiatric research. During her residency, Dr. Carney gained expertise in diagnosing and treating complex mental health conditions, worked alongside leading specialists in the field, and published clinical and research findings in peer-reviewed journals. She also gained administrative experience as the Chief Resident for Outpatient Psychiatry.

Her commitment to becoming an expert in psychiatry led her to complete a Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she honed her skills in forensic evaluation and the treatment of individuals with mental health concerns in correctional and legal settings.

Dr. Carney’s treatment philosophy centers on personalized care, where each patient’s unique experiences, concerns, and mental health need guide the treatment plan. She is passionate about helping individuals not only overcome their symptoms but also achieve sustained recovery and a better quality of life. Her extensive training, combined with her holistic approach, ensures that patients receive the most advanced and effective treatments available.

Dr. Borhan Darmal, MD

Board-Certified Psychiatrist

Dr. Borhan Darmal, M.D. is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist specializing in adult psychiatry, depression, treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and complex psychiatric conditions. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency at LewisGale Regional Health System, where he was recognized as Team Player of the Year.

With more than eight years of postgraduate clinical experience, Dr. Darmal has developed extensive expertise across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, PHP/IOP, and community psychiatric settings. His clinical background includes the evaluation and treatment of adults with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, serious mental illness, and other complex psychiatric conditions.

Dr. Darmal has a particular interest in treatment-resistant depression and advanced psychiatric treatments. He brings extensive experience in neuromodulation and performed approximately 10 ECT procedures per week for 18 months, treating patients with severe depression, refractory mood disorders, and catatonia. He also has experience with SPRAVATO® (esketamine) and evidence-based treatment approaches for patients who have not achieved adequate relief from traditional therapies.

His experience includes comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, suicide risk assessments, crisis evaluation, complex psychopharmacology, and the management of serious mental illness. He is also experienced in neuropsychiatric assessment and advanced treatment approaches.

Dr. Darmal believes strongly in patient empowerment through education. His approach is thoughtful, compassionate, and collaborative, taking time to understand each patient’s history, concerns, and goals while clearly explaining diagnosis and treatment options. He works with each patient to develop an individualized plan designed to improve symptoms, restore functioning, and support long-term mental wellness.

Dr. Robert M. Scholl, DO

Dr. Robert Matthias Scholl, DO is a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist who brings advanced education, extensiveclinical training, and a comprehensive approach to the treatment of complex psychiatric conditions. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master of Medical Sciences, cum laude, from the University of South Florida. He completed his Psychiatry Residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he distinguished himself as Administrative Chief Resident and gained extensive experience in psychiatric evaluation, psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and the management of complex mental health conditions.

Dr. Scholl has experience caring for patients across outpatient, inpatient, and hospital-based psychiatric settings, with particular expertise in depression, treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, psychotic disorders, and suicide risk assessment. He has a special clinical interest in treatment-resistant depression and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), offering patients an evidence-based option when traditional medications or other treatments have not provided adequate relief.

At NeuroHealth Treatment Centers, Dr. Scholl provides individualized psychiatric care with an emphasis on listening, collaboration, and developing treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. His care may incorporate medication management, psychotherapy, TMS, and other evidence-based interventional treatments when appropriate. His goal is to help patients feel understood, supported, and confident in their treatment while pursuing meaningful and lasting improvement in their mental health.

Alejandro Comas

Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Alejandro Comas, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner and University of Florida–trained clinician dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. With advanced doctoral training and a strong clinical foundation, Dr. Comas provides comprehensive psychiatric services across the lifespan, integrating both medical and therapeutic approaches to support lasting wellness.

Dr. Comas is especially passionate about serving marginalized communities, with a focused commitment to LGBTQ+, transgender, gender-affirming, and HIV+ populations. He creates a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment where patients feel seen, respected, and empowered in their mental health journey. As a bilingual provider fluent in both English and Spanish, he ensures that language is never a barrier to receiving high-quality, culturally competent care.

Clinically, Dr. Comas offers a full spectrum of psychiatric services, including initial psychological evaluations, medication management—including Schedule II–V controlled substances—and independent ordering of labs and diagnostic testing. He is a certified specialist in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), allowing him to combine structured, evidence-based psychotherapy with medication management for a truly integrated treatment approach.

Megan Miller

Megan Miller, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a strong educational background and diverse clinical experience serving patients across the lifespan, from children to older adults. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 2024, graduating with high honors. Megan also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating with honors in 2021.

Her clinical training includes extensive work in pediatric, adult, and geriatric psychiatric settings. She has gained valuable experience conducting patient interviews, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and developing individualized treatment plans. Megan is proficient in diagnosing psychiatric disorders, prescribing psychotropic medications, and managing comprehensive care, including facilitating referrals for advanced treatments such as Spravato and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

Megan began her nursing career in a neurological intensive care unit, where she developed critical care skills through direct bedside nursing, patient assessment, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. She also completed a nurse residency program, gaining experience across various specialized units, including pediatric intensive care, cardiac step-down, and medical-surgical care.

Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Megan holds certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS). Jose Gabriel Chavez

Dual Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Jose Gabriel Chavez is a Dual Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with more than five years of experience providing integrated psychiatric and medical care across inpatient and outpatient settings. He specializes in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, psychopharmacology, crisis stabilization, substance use disorders, and the treatment of mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders.

Jose earned his Master of Science in Nursing in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nursing and Post-Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from West Coast University. He also serves as a Psychiatric Nursing Clinical Adjunct Faculty member, teaching psychiatric assessment, diagnostic formulation, psychopharmacology, and crisis management to the next generation of healthcare professionals.

His diverse clinical background includes psychiatry, intensive care, emergency medicine, neurology, cardiology, oncology, and critical care, giving him a broad and well-rounded perspective on both mental and physical health. Christian Serna

Christian Serna, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care across the lifespan. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Christian fosters a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable being themselves and actively engaged in their treatment.

He earned his Associate in Arts from Miami Dade College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Florida International University, and later completed his Master of Science in Nursing in Psychiatric Mental Health at St. Thomas University. His strong academic foundation supports a clinical approach grounded in evidence-based practices, diagnostic precision, and long-term treatment success.

Christian specializes in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of psychiatric conditions, utilizing strategic psychopharmacologic interventions combined with patient education to ensure safe and effective outcomes. His approach emphasizes continuity of care and building strong therapeutic relationships that promote stability and recovery over time. He also facilitates referrals for advanced treatment options, including Spravato (esketamine) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), when clinically appropriate.

Bianca Angell, MSc

Bianca Angell is a Clinic Manager at NeuroHealth Treatment Center, where she specializes in supporting patients through advanced neuromodulation treatments for mood and psychiatric disorders. With a strong clinical foundation and a passion for neuroscience, Bianca plays a key role in guiding patients through the treatment process, ensuring a compassionate, structured, and effective care experience.

She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Neuroscience from King’s College London, where she focused on the impact of early deprivation on adult mental health outcomes. Her academic work reflects a deep interest in psychiatric conditions, developmental trauma, and the neurobiological mechanisms underlying mental health.

Bianca has hands-on experience with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and has developed a strong understanding of treatment-resistant depression and patient-centered care. Her role involves not only clinical application but also care coordination, patient education, and ensuring continuity of care throughout the treatment process.

She has a strong interest in the chemistry and biological foundations of the brain, and how these systems work in unison with psychological processes to better understand, diagnose, and treat mental health disorders. Bianca is particularly passionate about bridging the gap between neuroscience and clinical care.

Francesca Leone

Lead Clinical Trainer | TMS NBS-6 Certified

Francesca Leone is a certified TMS and Spravato Technician and serves as the Lead Clinical Trainer of Neuromodulation Services at NeuroHealth Treatment Centers. With a growing clinical background and a passion for neuroscience, Francesca plays a key role in supporting patients through innovative, evidence-based treatments for depression and mood disorders.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at Nova Southeastern University, Francesca is also minoring in Pre-Health, Health Informatics, and Experiential Leadership. Her academic journey reflects a deep commitment to understanding the complexities of the brain and exploring the intersection of technology, data, and patient care. She has also contributed to research in Sports Neuroscience, examining the effects of physical activity on stress and cortisol levels—work that highlights her interest in the brain-body connection and holistic approaches to mental health.

Francesca’s clinical expertise includes hands-on experience with neuromodulation therapies such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato (esketamine), equipping her with valuable insight into treatment-resistant depression and the evolving landscape of psychiatric care. As an Intake Coordinator, she is often the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming, compassionate, and informed experience from day one.

Kailee Singer

With a deep commitment to reducing stigma and promoting emotional well-being, Kailee focuses on bridging the gap between individuals, providers, and the resources they need to thrive.

Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Studies with a minor in Studio Art (Photography) from Florida Atlantic University, Kailee brings a unique, creative lens to her work. Her background in media and communication empowers her to craft engaging outreach strategies, foster meaningful partnerships, and connect with diverse audiences on both emotional and practical levels.

At NeuroHealth, Kailee is instrumental in cultivating relationships with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and local leaders. She works cross-functionally with internal teams to develop strategic initiatives that raise mental health awareness and ensure access to personalized, effective treatment options. From organizing outreach events to leading digital campaigns, she is committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces for conversation and healing.
